Little Silver Foxes

Program Note:

From the window of my apartment back in Pullman, Washington I could see out into the vast wheat fields. Often, wildlife would pass by and roam around the complex before disappearing back into seas of grain. One of the more regular visitors would be a pair of silver foxes that would come by hunting mice near the edge of the fields. They moved quickly and chattered about foxy things. Splitting up, they would prowl around buildings, playing a game of hide and seek. Closer and closer, giving out faint calls, one would track the other through the complex. This game never lasting long, both would leap for joy at being found and run back into the fields to go about their usual business.
