Book I.

For Classical Guitar

[JC. 22 1/3] (2024)

Duration: 12~ minutes

This is the first part of a three part series of compositions for guitar based around where I was born and raised.

Performance Notes

Cross-String Trills: These specific trills are notated with feathered beams and specific RH fingering. The desired effect should sound similar to that of an ornament on a harpsichord in one effortless motion.

[Tambora]: Played by slapping the strings with the Thumb as close to the fretboard as possible while still being over the sound hole. *Notated with all open strings marked with (x) noteheads.

[Golpe]: Played by tapping the body with the fleshy pad of the RH fingers. *An (X) notehead represents tapping the top plate while a (/) represents tapping the side of the instrument body
